    Our centers offer free ultrasounds to confirm the viability of your pregnancy and estimate its gestational age.(1) This information is crucial when considering abortion.


    Ultrasound exams can help by:

    • Dating the pregnancy
    • Ruling out ectopic pregnancy (outside the uterus) or molar pregnancy (a tumor in the uterus)(2)
    • Confirming pregnancy viability (1 in 4 pregnancies ending in miscarriage)(3)

  • 3. Determine eligibility for the abortion pill

    Before contemplating the abortion pill, it’s essential to determine the stage of your pregnancy. The FDA approves the abortion pill for pregnancies up to 70 days (10 weeks) after the last menstrual period.(4) We can provide you with vital information about your pregnancy and whether the abortion pill is an option.(5) It’s important to note that some women should not take the abortion pill; learn more.


    If you are not eligible for a medical abortion, a surgical procedure known as suction/vacuum aspiration may be an alternative. An ultrasound can help determine the appropriate abortion procedure before making any decisions.
