Abortion costs vary by gestational age, facility type, and provider experience. For a medication abortion (only FDA approved up to 10 weeks gestation), the average charge is $470. Later-term abortions are more complex and take longer, making them more expensive. For second trimester abortions, the average cost is between $750 to $1,625.  (1).
