Volunteer
Below are several
areas of ministry for you to prayerfully consider volunteering your time
and talents. The Community Pregnancy Center (CPC) has a monthly informational meeting which provides
greater detail on each of these. Please call to find out when the next
"Getting to know your CPC" meeting will be held and make plans
to attend.
Pregnancy
Counseling
The commitment to be a volunteer counselor requires a minimum of three
hours a week (one shift). A CPC counselor is given full training including
a short internship with other trained counselors. Especially needed
are Spanish speaking counselors for all shifts.
Point to Success (PTS)
The PTS program is in need of mentors to attend a one hour class a week.
This gives you the opportunity to visit with our clients and to encourage
and pray with them. We also have areas of PTS that include light clerical
duties, assisting clients in the Blessing Room and caring for our clients
children at the center while the mother attends class. We are also in need
of volunteers who are willing to teach a class one night a month. Our
Men's Bible Study always needs Christian men to come and mentor the dads.
Blessing Room
Donations to the "Blessing Room" come from individuals either
through their church group or a baby shower. We always need help washing,
sorting and mending items. Donations of diapers, baby clothes, diaper
bags, infant bath tubs, new car seats and cribs are greatly appreciated.
Fundraising/Office Help
If you have an hour to spare a week, we could use your skills and
knowledge in areas of clerical and computer help, answering phones or just
watching a client's other children during counseling sessions. We welcome
any ideas you have for fundraising and other events.
Prayer partners and
financial help
The CPC is always in need of prayer partners and financial gifts. Without
the two, we would not be able to continue this vital ministry. We ask that
you prayerfully consider being a CPC financial supporter. We also need
prayer warriors and volunteers for a prayer chain.
Labor of Love
We need men and women with skills such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry,
painting, etc. to help inside the center with maintenance, repairs and
"betterment" projects.
